41 years of service in the Carabinieri and then the well-deserved retirement. Carabinieri lieutenant Michele Lobrano yesterday greeted his colleagues from the Baita barracks in Alghero on the last day of service.

A moment of great emotion among the soldiers who have learned to know, in recent years, the man and the commander of the operational and mobile radio unit of the Catalan city, who arrived in 2014 from the investigative unit of the operational department of Sassari.

He was the first Alghero native to have had the honor of commanding the prestigious emergency department par excellence in the city.

Graduated in Administration Sciences, Lobrano joined the Army at the age of 19 and after the training period began his career in Piedmont. Here, as a brigadier, he took command of the mobile radio unit of the Carabinieri Company of Varallo Sesia.

Then he was transferred to Sardinia, in the midst of the kidnapping emergency, to command the Siniscola Radiomobile, participating in all the operational phases carried out by the Siniscola military in the investigations into the kidnappings carried out between 1993 and 1995 (Ruju kidnapping; Mazzarella; Vinci; Licheri and Chechi).
In 1996, with the rank of chief marshal, he joined the first investigative section of the operational department of the provincial command of Sassari where he remained until 2014, the year in which he took command of the NORM of Alghero.

He will leave a wonderful memory among colleagues who were able to appreciate him for his attachment to the uniform and to his work.
