The accountant Sergio Florulli and the site manager Ivan Cherchi , employees of the Ungias eco-centre located in via degli Artigiani, an industrial area of Alghero , are hospitalized in the orthopedics department of the Alghero civil hospital .

Both were injured by colleague Antonio Rosario Urgias , 44, the man who at dawn, around 5.45, after shooting them in the legs with a 7.65 caliber pistol, took his own life .

Undergoing surgery, they are in a reserved prognosis for 48 hours, but not in serious condition.

Both are vigilant and were able to answer questions from the carabinieri who are investigating the reasons that sparked the discussion which then degenerated into the shooting.

Urgias, a difficult past and with a police record, hired for a year by the Alghero Ambiente company after a period of precarious work, had recently been employed for light work for health reasons.

He lived alone in a former school, in the locality of Sa Segada, a village on the outskirts of Alghero. This morning the dispute over a shortage of 150 euros from the paycheck.

Then Antonio Urgias took up the weapon aiming at the legs of his colleagues, a third ecological operator tried in vain to make him give up. An instant later the man turned the gun on himself and took his own life.
