Alghero, in Sa Segada a botanical garden with over 500 species

A botanical garden open to the community, with more than 500 species of Mediterranean and exotic plants, some very rare. The green oasis is located in Sa Segada, in Alghero , where there is also a nursery, and was inaugurated today, Sunday 19 November, with a guided tour conducted by Verdina Sannia , the landlady, who wanted to bring the ambitious project of her husband, Maurizio Piras , who passed away prematurely in November 2022, has been completed.

An idea born way back in 1992 with the planting of the first plants on a bare and uncultivated surface which today presents itself as a spectacular, well-kept botanical journey through which you can admire a collection of indigenous plants from all over the world. world.

The garden is also open to school groups and can be reached from Provincial Road 42 (Strada dei Due Mari) turning towards Sa Segada at approximately Km 22.8.
