Alghero, goes into cardiac arrest while swimming: admitted to intensive care

Cardiac arrest due to drowning for a woman at Bombarde in Alghero.

It happened this afternoon to a 46-year-old woman from Sassari who was promptly resuscitated by a doctor present on site.

The medical team from Alghero and the helicopter rescue team intervened. The 118 staff immediately performed resuscitation maneuvers. The woman was then intubated and taken to the intensive care unit in Sassari at the Santissima Annunziata.
