A two-month-old newborn baby was urgently transported aboard an Air Force Falcon 50 aircraft from the Sassari University Hospital , where she was hospitalized, to the Maria-Vittoria-Amedeo di Savoia Hospital in Turin .
The aircraft took off from Ciampino airport to reach the town of Alghero where the little patient, accompanied by her parents and assisted by a medical team , was transferred to the Piedmont airport and transported by ambulance to the destination hospital .
The Air Force plane then returned to Ciampino.
