Alghero fire: Man escapes smoke-filled house, dog rescued by firefighters

This morning, shortly after 1:00 a.m., firefighters from the Alghero detachment responded to a fire that had broken out in an apartment on Viale Europa . Thanks to the firefighters' quick intervention, the damage was limited to the veranda and part of the apartment.

The cause is still under investigation. The owner was inside and managed to escape despite the apartment already being filled with smoke . He was immediately placed in the care of emergency personnel. The family dog was also in a state of anxiety: the frightened animal was found inside a room and rescued by firefighters . The Carabinieri also arrived on the scene to conduct their investigations. Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
