Alghero: at the airport with food of dubious origin, three passengers in trouble

In the suitcase they had food products in a poor state of conservation and without labelling. In trouble three passengers stopped at Alghero airport as part of the anti-fraud activity carried out at the international arrivals hall by officials of the Customs and Monopolies Agency (ADM) of Sassari, in service at the Territorial Operations Section of Alghero and the soldiers of the Guardia of finance of the local company.
An Israeli female passenger from Tel Aviv and two travelers from Bangladesh respectively carried 3.5 kg of dairy products and 10 kg of vegetable products of dubious origin.
The goods found were subjected to precautionary administrative seizure, in compliance with the Community legislation which prohibits the introduction of foods without labeling and for vegetables, hygienic-sanitary analyzes are awaited by the phytopathologist of the Agriculture and Agro-pastoral Reform department of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, in application of the provisions of Regulations (EU) Nos. 2016/2031 and 2017/625, to counter the introduction into the territory of the European Union of harmful organisms and infesting pathogens for native species.
