A three-month-old baby girl, admitted to the Santissima Annunziata Hospital in Sassari in imminent danger of death, was transferred as a matter of urgency to the Bambino Gesù Hospital in Rome on an Italian Air Force medical flight.

The flight, as required by procedures for this type of activity, was authorized by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, which manages and coordinates the activities of the state aircraft fleet.

After completing all necessary procedures by the military crew, the G650 aircraft took off from Ciampino Airport for Alghero in the afternoon. Landing around 5:00 PM, the little girl was immediately taken on board along with one of her parents and the medical team. After landing at Ciampino Airport shortly before 6:00 PM, an ambulance transported her to the hospital for admission.
