Two regional grants have been awarded to restore the Mariotti Field to the center of the city's sporting life. Regional Councilor Valdo Di Nolfo announced the arrival of €200,000 for the facility's compliance and maintenance, made available following the signing of the agreement between the Region and the Municipality of Alghero. An additional €70,000 will be allocated for the design and construction of the facility.
"For the people of Alghero, the Mariotti is not just a sports facility, but a place that preserves the collective memory of the Riviera del Corallo community. Investing in the Mariotti means investing in the history and future of Alghero football," says Di Nolfo. The funding for the project will allow for the detailed design of the necessary interventions, in line with the standards of the Italian Football Federation.
"Planning is a crucial tool," he emphasizes, "to continuously support the city's football growth, especially in light of Alghero Calcio's extraordinary season. The goal," concludes the Alghero regional councilor, "is to bring Alghero Calcio back to the Mariotti Stadium, restoring the city's football temple to the community. Today, thanks to two regional grants, that goal is concrete and ever closer."
