A bar was sanctioned and two shops were closed in Sassari. These are the consequences of the checks carried out by the local police to combat the phenomenon of the sale of alcohol to minors. About eighty activities - including clubs, bars, shops and supermarkets - are subject to checks.

Yesterday the mayor Nanni Campus issued an order for the suspension of the activity of a public establishment which, for a month, will have to close from 16 to 8 the following day. The owner, the agents found, sold spirits to a 16-year-old.

Last week the mayor had already sanctioned the suspension of the activity of a business in the same area, again for a month but in this case from 13 to 8 as the operator is a repeat offender. At the last check it was found that the man had sold alcohol to a minor.

Finally, the owner of a bar was sanctioned for giving alcoholic drinks to two underage girls at the table.
