Searches underway in the sea off Olbia: vehicles and men from the Port Authority have been mobilized since yesterday evening after a phone call reported the failure to return to dry land of two brothers, Lorenzo and Giuseppe Deiana, aged 20 and 24.

The two had set out early in the morning aboard a white fiberglass vessel for a fishing trip and headed towards Golfo Aranci: they were supposed to return in the afternoon but by nightfall they had not yet touched land. At that point, the operations center of the Coast Guard received a phone call from the partner of one of the two raising the alarm. The search is taking place both at sea, in a rather large area that reaches as far as Golfo Aranci, with the mobilization of a dinghy and a patrol boat, and from the air, with the use of an AB412 helicopter departing from the base in Decimomannu.

Checks are also carried out on the ground.

During the day, the weather conditions in that stretch of sea were not good. The two brothers' cell phones hooked up to a cell tower for the last time around 4:40 p.m. Then nothing more.
