It won't reopen again. The Hotel Setar, a historic hotel on the Quartese coast, is in liquidation and the property has been forced to resort to an arrangement with creditors to avoid bankruptcy. At the top of the list is the Municipality of Quartu, which has to recover 3 million and 600 thousand euros in taxes - Tari and Imu - not paid in recent years by the company that managed the former four-star accommodation facility.

An era is over, therefore: the crisis of recent years has been exacerbated by the pandemic. On 2 May 2022 the start of the liquidation.

On 22 December, the judicial commissioner - as reported in the resolution approved by the municipal council of Quartu in recent days - sent the municipality the proposal for an arrangement with creditors advanced by the company in liquidation and admitted by the Court.
