Rescue operation off the Tonnare beach in Stintino. The rescue operation took place yesterday, Saturday, July 11, around 6:40 PM, when a 75-year-old woman, despite the harsh sea conditions, went for a swim and within moments ended up at the mercy of the waves.

The pensioner was swept out to sea by the currents. The intervention of the lifeguard company was crucial. Despite the particularly critical weather conditions, characterized by strong north-easterly winds and very rough seas (force 4), lifeguard Emanuele Dessì was able to complete the rescue. The swimmer, although understandably fatigued and dizzy from the shock, was brought back to shore unharmed.
