Abbanoa loses a battle over regulatory adjustments. This was decided by the Court of Nuoro which upheld the injunction brought by Adiconsum Sardegna. «The Court», explains the consumers' association, «fully accepting our requests, established that Abbanoa has no right to ask Sardinian users to pay the regulatory adjustments and ordered the company to block any request with immediate effect , as well as to cease all related collection activities". As a result of the sentence, reports the association, 720,000 Sardinian users will no longer have to pay the 106 million euros requested by the water manager.

«Those who have already paid sums by way of adjustment», argued by Adiconsum, «must obtain a refund of the amount paid, under penalty of an inevitable collective action by the association to get users reimbursed for the stolen goods».

Tomorrow the president of Adiconsum Sardegna Giorgio Vargiu and the association's lawyers, the lawyers Franco Dore and Carlo Tola, will illustrate the provisions of the judges and explain what the practical consequences will be for Abbanoa and for Sardinian users.

From the water service management company they let it be known that the first instance verdict will be contested and that the Cassation has already established the legitimacy of the equalization requests. When in the past, it is the clarification, from Abbanoa they let it be known that no restitution would be due.
