The regional council of Acli renews its trust in Mauro Carta : «We work for young people and to heal the wounds of our society». Mauro Carta was confirmed as regional president of Acli Sardegna with a unanimous vote. The decision came during the regional council of the association, which met yesterday in Tramatza in the presence of the national president Emiliano Manfredonia.

The new board will accompany the Acli in the important phase that will culminate in the national congress, scheduled from November 29 to December 1. Together with Carta, a team of vice presidents and managers who will deal with key issues such as health, welfare, innovation and territorial cohesion. Among the prominent names: Giuseppe Fresu (vice president for health), Benedetta Iannelli (planning and innovation) and Valeria Casu (associative development).

Originally from Gesico, in Trexenta, Mauro Carta brings with him a wealth of academic and operational experience: a graduate in economics and commerce, he has worked in the field of community planning, labor policies and international cooperation. Among his main areas of study, the depopulation of Sardinia and migratory flows stand out, topics on which he has published numerous research papers.

During his career, he led the provincial ACLI of Cagliari and IPSIA Sardegna for two terms, promoting training projects, international mobility and support for business creation, with particular attention to young people and volunteering in the Balkans and Africa.

After his reconfirmation, Carta outlined the line of his new mandate: "We continue with the work done so far, convinced that our role in Sardinia is to maintain our system of values and focus on the formation of human capital. We believe that only by working with young people can we start again, mending the tears of an increasingly torn Sardinian society".
