He died from drowning, trapped in the car in about half a meter of water. Massimo Cocco, the nineteen-year-old from Quartucciu who ended up off the road on Wednesday morning on state road 195, did not lose his life due to the injuries caused following the road accident, but because he ended up in the water with the car overturned and the passenger compartment semi-submerged .

For the moment - at least according to the first investigations carried out by the medical examiner - it is not possible to establish whether he was trapped by his seat belt, or whether he was already unconscious when the car ended up in the sea.

These are the first conclusions, still completely informal for the moment, that emerge from the autopsy ordered by the public prosecutor Emanuele Secci on the body of the young man, who died following a frightening accident that occurred near La Maddalena Spiaggia, in Capoterra.

The exam was carried out by the medical examiner Giovanni Paolo Maietta who will provide his advice to the Prosecutor's Office only at the end of the histological tests.
