Tragedy at work in Sardara: crushed by truck, entrepreneur Emilio Pusceddu dies
Rescue efforts were in vain for the 56-year-old from Villanovafurru, owner of the trucking company: the heavy vehicle fell on him while he was loading goods. Carabinieri and Spresal are investigating

Tragedy at work this morning in Sardara, in a trucking company in the industrial area: victim Emilio Pusceddu, 56-year-old entrepreneur from Villanovafurru and owner of Pusceddu Trasporti Srl.
The man died after being hit by a truck. According to an initial reconstruction, he was maneuvering the heavy vehicle, bringing it closer to another empty one to load it with goods. He got off the truck, which for reasons currently being investigated, fell on top of him, crushing him.
The 118 paramedics arrived on site with the helicopter but unfortunately all the rescue efforts were in vain.
The Carabinieri are investigating the dynamics, and Spresal is also working.
Meanwhile, the community of Villanovaforru is in shock: the mayor Maurizio Onnis has cancelled, as a sign of mourning, the ceremony in honour of the fallen in war scheduled for tomorrow.
