The pg Paolo De Falco asked for the acquittal "for not having committed the crime" of Antonello Peru, Cambiamo-Udic regional councilor, from the accusation of "participation in criminal association" in the appeal process in the Court of Assise in Sassari concerning the story that revolves around the neurologist Giuseppe Dore and what happened in the clinic he founded in Ittiri for the treatment of Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

The so-called psychoneuroanalysis was under investigation, a therapy conceived by Dore himself and which, according to the accusation, inflicted humiliation and beatings on the sick without any evidence of its effectiveness.

On November 10, 2020, Peru was sentenced in the first instance to four years of imprisonment and five years of interdiction from public offices for having participated in the criminal association aimed at fraud.

Today, while the second degree trial is about to end, the prosecution is asking for his acquittal for the only crime not yet prescribed, for which the pg has requested the sentence of 6 years and 6 months of the neurologist Marinella D ' Onofrio and 6 years of Giuseppe Dore.

For the alleged mistreatment, however, there will be no conviction, as the limitation period has already taken place and the prosecutor has therefore requested that all the accused not be allowed to proceed.

The plaintiff lawyers have joined the prosecution's requests but expect the civil rulings to be confirmed, to be quantified in civil justice. The remodeling of the disqualification measures is also requested.
