Governor Christian Solinas sentenced to trial, head of cabinet Maria Grazia Vivarelli sentenced to 2 years and 8 months.
It is the decision of the gup of Cagliari Ermengarda Ferrarese regarding the affair that sees Solinas   under accusation (abuse of office) for the appointment of Silvia Curto and Pasquale Belloi as Director General of the Presidency and Regional Civil Protection.

The trial was set for December 15, at the second criminal section of the Cagliari court.

Therefore, the request made by the prosecutor Andrea Vacca was accepted, while the lawyer Rinaldo Lai spoke of the “absence of elements of guilt”, of the “completely incorrect thesis of the prosecutor” and of the “lack of documentary evidence” to the accusations.

Both Solinas and Vivarelli were present in the courtroom , accused of abuse of office and undue induction for the same affair (defended by the lawyer Rinaldo Lai, he allegedly put pressure on the then Director of Personnel to sign the green light for the appointment of Belloi).

On the other hand, the councilor for General Affairs Valeria Satta is absent, who responds for abuse of office and attempted extortion (according to the prosecutor he had tried to impose the signature on the renewal of the appointment to Belloi on the same director of Personnel): his lawyer Massimiliano Ravenna he is indisposed and could not participate.

The position of the commissioner Satta was however separated and postponed to 10 November.

Solinas and Satta chose the ordinary rite; Vivarelli opted for the shortened procedure.
