A package, a toy, a gift under the tree. Sometimes, a small gesture is enough to make Christmas shine for those who risk living it in the shadows. In via Ariosto, in Cagliari, solidarity has the colors of passion and hope: red and blue. For the fourth consecutive year, the Cagliari Club is acting as a bridge between those who can donate and those who need to receive, collecting basic necessities to distribute, through Caritas, to the most fragile families in the community.
"Everyone deserves a little peace and a little gift under the tree," club president Tore Saba and fan Milena Masala heartily emphasize. Every morning, until December 21, volunteers take turns at the club headquarters, transforming a simple room into a gathering and sharing center. It is a place where you can breathe a deep sense of community and altruism, where the Christmas spirit merges with that of the team.
The rossoblù people, accustomed to supporting their team with passion, show that they are equally ready to support those in difficulty. "When it comes to reaching out to those in need, the rossoblù never hold back," says Milena Masala with emotion, happy with the continuous influx of people ready to donate.
Solidarity here is measured in simple but precious objects: clothes for adults and children, toys for the little ones, books, underwear and non-perishable food. Each package is a sign of closeness, a gesture that can make a difference on a difficult day. Even if new would be ideal, every garment and every toy in excellent condition is welcome. Every gesture counts, because behind every gift there is a heart that beats strongly and a hope that is reborn.
