Tomorrow afternoon, the archaeological museum of Olbia will host a commemoration ceremony for Antonio Sircana, 44, an orthopedic doctor working at the hospital in Olbia, and Roberto Bazzoni, 37, an orthopedic technician and owner of a company producing medical and orthopedic devices, who died 25 years ago in a plane crash in Kosovo . On November 12, 1999, they were on board an ATR 42 chartered by the UN Food Program, along with 22 other people, which crashed ten kilometers north of Pristina. The two volunteers from Caritas Gallura were particularly concerned with orthopedic prostheses for the injured – very often children – who had lost limbs due to anti-personnel mines.
