From October 1st to 3rd, 2026, Olbia will host the fourth edition of the Aerospace Festival, a well-established event in the panorama of scientific dissemination and technological innovation.

The event will focus on enabling technologies, the key drivers of the new space race and increasingly crucial to economic and industrial development on Earth. Advanced robotics, artificial intelligence, automation, innovative materials, advanced manufacturing, telecommunications, infrastructure, and intelligent systems will be the focus of a rich program involving businesses, universities, research centers, startups, institutions, and young talent. The goal is to foster dialogue among all stakeholders in the aerospace ecosystem, creating opportunities for discussion, collaboration, and growth.

Among the initiatives already underway for the 2026 edition is the "Enabling the Future – Towards a New Era between Earth and Space" Ideas Competition, open to university students, doctoral students, and recent graduates between the ages of 21 and 30. The competition will reward the best projects dedicated to enabling technologies and their applications in space and on Earth, offering three scholarships in the form of vouchers. The awards ceremony will take place during the Festival.

Registration is also open for the 2026 Exhibition Area, dedicated to companies, startups, organizations, and institutions interested in showcasing innovative products, services, and technologies. Among this year's new features, exhibitors will be able to organize workshops and hands-on activities for high school students, fostering direct contact between the business world and the younger generations.

"The 2026 edition comes at a particularly significant time for the space sector," the organizers commented, "namely, the return of humans to the Moon through the Artemis program, which represents one of the world's greatest technological challenges. The innovations developed for living and working in extreme environments are already finding application in numerous terrestrial production sectors, contributing to the growth of the space economy and accelerating the technological transformation of many industries."

Since its inception, the Aerospace Festival has served as a meeting point for scientific research, industry, education, and institutions, aiming to leverage the opportunities offered by the space economy and the tangible benefits these innovations can generate for businesses, regions, and citizens. The numbers from previous editions confirm the event's steady growth: over 8,500 attendees, 156 speakers, 25 conferences, and 192 educational workshops dedicated to innovation, research, and education in STEM and aerospace disciplines. This growth has cemented the Festival as one of the leading events for scientific dissemination in Italy.
