Paul Mendy and Yael Trepy have inspired Cagliari Primavera and are now aiming to finish strong with the first team, away to AC Milan. The two forwards are in the squad for the final matchday of Serie A , after helping the Under-20s avoid relegation this afternoon in Cercola: a sensational goal and an assist for the former, a goal (the opening goal) and a penalty earned for the latter in a stunning 3-0 win against Napoli in the one-off play-off. They have two matches in just over twenty-four hours, but in a decidedly more relaxed situation, given that Fabio Pisacane's team has been safe since last Sunday.
Nicola Grandu and Othniël Raterink have also joined the squad for AC Milan-Cagliari from today's Primavera match, while the other two players called up from the Under-20s (midfielders Ivan Sulev, number 38, and Alessandro Russo, number 41) were not involved in the play-offs. Luca Mazzitelli and Mattia Felici are back in the squad , the latter being called up for the first time in 2026 after suffering a serious knee injury in early December in the Coppa Italia against Napoli. Semih Kılıçsoy, however, is missing, having officially returned to Turkey early for family reasons (but the feeling, also based on Pisacane's comments , is that he hasn't been convincing). Michael Folorunsho, another player who ended his season early (and whose redemption remains to be seen).
These are Pisacane's 26 players called up for Milan-Cagliari , scheduled for tomorrow at 8.45pm at the Meazza.
