Zaia: "Positive newborn hospitalized in intensive care, the unvaccinated mother had the virus"

Versa in serious condition, hospitalized in the intensive care of the Padua hospital, a newborn son of an unvaccinated woman who had contracted the virus but who had in the meantime become negativized.

The President of the Region, Luca Zaia, made the story known: “Initially, the indication for pregnant women - the governor recalled - was to wait before getting vaccinated. Unfortunately, afterwards, it was seen that several pregnant women had some problems. Now doctors are also pushing for vaccination of pregnant women ”.

To launch an appeal to all pregnant women, asking them to get vaccinated, also the mayor of Turin Chiara Appendino , who in recent days posted on Facebook an ultrasound of the baby on the way: "He is Andrea and, when he is born, he will have already the antibodies for Covid-19. He will have them because in the sixth month of pregnancy I chose to get vaccinated ”.
