A 48-year-old woman died after the car she was traveling in crashed into a van, stopped in the middle of the road, which a few moments earlier had hit a large wild boar.

The accident occurred on state road 580 between Ginosa and Marina di Ginosa.

Cia Agricoltori Italiani Puglia reports this in a note in which it states that «what we unfortunately feared and have always denounced happened last night: now everyone must take their own responsibilities, let's fight this emergency with adequate tools because human lives are at stake».

Also yesterday evening - adds the CIA - a few kilometers away, on the provincial road 13 between Castellaneta and Castellaneta Marina, the crossing of another wild boar "sent a vehicle off the road, fortunately without serious consequences for the driver and passengers".

«In recent months we have commented on other similar accidents and only luck would have it that they did not take on the contours of a tragedy», explains Vito Rubino, director of the Due Mari Taranto-Brindisi area, an area, Rubino highlights, «that has been tormented for years from the wild boar emergency".
