He brought a Nigerian girl to Italy, promising her a job in a bar. But when the young woman arrived, the nightmare began, he forced her into prostitution, kidnapped her in an apartment in Bari, raped her and got pregnant.

Then he kicked her out of the house, preventing her from taking her documents and the son born of the rape with her.

For this Favor Obazelu, known as "Fred" or "Friday", aged 43, believed to be among the leaders of the Nigerian mafia, was arrested by the Reggio Calabria mobile squad on charges of enslavement, human trafficking, kidnapping and sexual violence.

The arrest of Obazelu, who is also being investigated for criminal association, was ordered by the investigating judge Vincenza Bellini at the request of the prosecutor Giovanni Bombardieri and the deputy of the DDA Sara Amerio. Together with his brother, 32-year-old Eghosa Osasumwen known as "Felix", and other subjects in Libya and Nigeria, he allegedly recruited girls from their homeland to be deceived in Italy. Three other Nigerians are being investigated in the investigation, two women aged 30 and 22, and a man aged 25. The victims were tied up by voodoo rite and kept in a state of complete psychological prostration and then sent into prostitution.

One of them denounced, also saying that she was subjected in Nigeria "to a black magic rite to bind her to respect the commitment to pay the sum of 25 thousand euros".

There would be a real ceremony in which the girl, 21 years old at the time, and her family were threatened with death if they broke the oath.
