Family tragedy in Castel Sant'Elia, in the province of Viterbo.
A 65-year-old man of Sardinian origin, Ciriaco P., shot his 57-year-old wife, originally from Nepi, and killed himself with the same weapon.
It happened yesterday evening after 8pm, in a house in the town. According to what is learned at home, his daughter was also present, who witnessed the whole scene and called the carabinieri. When the investigators arrived on the scene, they found the two bodies in a pool of blood, next to the murder weapon.
According to initial information, the couple was separating but nothing in the man's behavior suggested such an epilogue. It also investigates how the 65-year-old farmer got the gun.
