Tragedy last night in the municipality of Nettuno, on the coast near Rome.

Two cars collided for reasons currently being investigated: a 39-year-old pregnant woman and her 5-year-old grandson died in the impact.

According to the reconstruction by the Carabinieri, the child's mother was behind the wheel of the car with her twin sister next to her and the little boy in the back seat.

From initial investigations, it would appear that the car was hit at an intersection by a car traveling the wrong way on Via della Pineta. The driver, injured, was taken to the hospital. The child's mother was also taken to the hospital.
