Tragic accident during a trip to the mountains in the Lecco area, a 67-year-old of Sardinian origin lost his life.

The man, Giorgio Congiu , resident in San Giuliano Milanese, had gone to look for mushrooms in the woods of Tremenico, in the locality of Gorle. While walking in a particularly inaccessible area he fell into a cliff making a flight of almost 100 meters . The drama took place under the eyes of his wife , who immediately raised the alarm by calling 112 for help.

Rescue was triggered, the 118-year-old helicopter also arrived on the spot but the doctors could not do anything to save the 67-year-old .

Since the beginning of the month, that which took place on Sunday morning is the third fatal accident in Lombardy.
