Carabinieri from the Pinerolo Company have solved the murder of Giovanni Bruno, the owner of a tobacconist's in the town in the province of Turin, killed during a robbery on June 4, 2013.

That day three robbers attacked the shop and one of them fired several shots at the shopkeeper, killing him .

Two people have now been arrested, while a third accomplice has been dead for some time. The murder had become a veritable cold case, and fourteen years later, Carabinieri officers, coordinated by the Turin Prosecutor's Office, have identified the three alleged members of the commando.

One of them died eight years ago, while the Turin Court's investigating judge issued a precautionary detention order for the other two. The first arrest was made on July 27 in Turin against a seventy-nine-year-old man of Sardinian origin , already known to law enforcement, who was transferred to the Lorusso e Cutugno prison.

The next day, the alleged accomplice, a fifty-three-year-old man from Turin, also already known to the police, was also arrested and taken to the same prison.
