Tir collides with two coaches of migrants, one dead and fifteen injured

One dead and 15 wounded . This is the tragic outcome of an accident that occurred during the night on the A1 motorway near Florence, at kilometer 282 after the junction for the Tuscan capital.

A truck collided with two GT coaches, the driver of the heavy vehicle lost his life.

Several immigrants were traveling in the buses, welcomed in Lampedusa and on their way to other reception centers.

A lot of debris in the impact dispersed on the roadway, damaging many cars , even severely, with rupture of fuel tanks and tires.

Firefighters, 118, Polstrada and personnel of the Autostrade Company intervened on the spot. The firefighters also collaborated with the health personnel to ensure the safety of the area due to the combustible materials on the roadway , which remained closed to allow rescue operations and was then reopened. The 15 injured were taken to the emergency room of the hospitals in Florence.
