A three-year-old boy died this afternoon after falling into an irrigation canal in the municipality of Spinetoli, province of Ascoli Piceno .
The child was in the area with family members of foreign origin, including his pregnant mother, who reported him missing.
The little boy was then recovered after the report of two people who had seen the little body in the water, in an irrigation canal about a meter and a half deep, 400 meters away from where the parents had last seen him . The rescuers, including the 118 personnel, tried for a long time to revive the little boy, but unfortunately all the maneuvers proved useless.
The helicopter ambulance was also alerted, and after leaving, it turned back when the child's death was confirmed. The fire brigade and the Carabinieri also intervened on site.
