According to the investigations of the Milan DDA and the DNA, thousands of information were taken from the national strategic databases, which yesterday led to 6 precautionary measures, including house arrest for the former "super policeman" Carmine Gallo.
Among those under investigation, who are charged with complicity in the illegal access of the alleged organization - composed of hackers, IT consultants and members of the police force and also centered on illegal wiretapping - are Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, one of the sons of the owner of Luxottica, and Matteo Arpe.
The investigation also involves former employees of another investigation firm, Skp of Milan.
The other investigation and risk analysis company at the center of the investigations, Equalize srl, whose majority shareholder is Enrico Pazzali, under investigation and president of the Fondazione Fiera Milano (an entity not involved in the investigations), was yesterday the subject of a preventive seizure order, executed, like the precautionary measures, by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of Varese, coordinated by the prosecutor of the Milan DDA Francesco De Tommasi and the prosecutor of the DNA Antonello Ardituro.
The charges at the center of the investigation are criminal association, unauthorized access to a computer system, unauthorized wiretapping, corruption and disclosure of official secrets.
The alleged criminal association allegedly took information on current accounts, criminal records, tax and health data and other information from national strategic databases, evading, on commission and for a fee, the requests of "clients", including mainly large companies, professional and legal firms, interested in influencing the activities of their "competitors" with this "dossier".
