Two fetuses wrapped in a sheet and hidden in a wardrobe : this is the terrible discovery made by a woman in Reggio Calabria , who immediately called the police.
According to what has been reconstructed, it could have been the 24-year-old daughter who disposed of it , now hospitalized in the Obstetrics and Gynecology department of the Gom , where she had gone in recent days complaining of illness.
The young woman is under investigation for double infanticide.
The two fetuses – explained the shocked mother of the young woman – were discovered due to the bad smell coming out of the furniture .
The bodies have been seized and in the next few hours the deputy prosecutor on duty Chiara Greco will arrange the autopsy.
The medical examiner will have to ascertain whether the twins were already dead at the time of birth or whether they died later. Furthermore, it remains to be understood whether the girl gave birth alone or whether she was helped by someone.
The investigators of the Flying Squad led by Gianfranco Minissale spoke to family members and acquaintances including the boyfriend of the young woman who, in these hours, could be questioned by the prosecutor.
