Daniele Giovanardi, former head of the Modena emergency room and twin brother of former senator Carlo Giovanardi, was suspended from the professional order because he is not vaccinated.

The political Giovanardi, fresh from his third dose and fully in favor of the vaccination campaign carried out by the Draghi government, defends him but up to a certain point: "My brother has always denied being a no vax. He expressed concerns about the Green pass and the vaccine to children, yes. He indicated that he had a pathology, to the Ausl, which led him to decide not to get vaccinated, and I believe that in a transparency report the Ausl should have answered him on the merits, telling him if he had to get vaccinated anyway or not. This did not happen, instead of the response of the Ausl came the suspension from the medical order ".

Having said that, he adds, "if he could get vaccinated and did not get vaccinated, it is understandable that the Order will suspend him".

The Giovanardi doctor specified that he had sent the documentation and medical certificates to the AUSL of Modena which would exempt him from vaccination: "In September - he reports - I was exempted from serum, since I had thrombophlebitis three years ago".

In recent weeks he participated, together with other doctors, in a demonstration in the square against the Green pass. He was also very active in the network of the Hippocrates association, visiting several positive and unvaccinated patients from Modena. Speaking of vaccines, he stressed that for Ema and Aifa "they are fully experimental, they will be able to express their opinion on safety and efficacy only in December 2023. While for some commentators it cannot be talked about because they say it is not". Therefore he had asked some questions to the Ausl asking for information with some recommended on the point. Also on other occasions he insisted that "informed consent is the basis of everything" and to get vaccinated "one must be well and clearly informed".
