«Serious statements such as that of Patrick Zaki , who after the Hamas attacks defined Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a serial killer, although followed by clarifications and correctives, may represent a hymn to violence and foment possible sleeper terrorist cells in Italy».

This was stated by the Lega MP Luca Toccalini, in a question addressed to Prime Minister Meloni, to the Minister of Justice Nordio and to the Minister of the Interior Piantedosi, to ask «what initiatives the Government intends to adopt in order to guarantee national security and prevent and combat the risk of an activation of terrorist cells".

In the premises of Toccalini's question there is the consideration that «the words of Patrick Zaki towards the Government of Israel in the aftermath of the brutal attack on 7 October 2023 by Hamas and the killing of cold blood of hundreds of very young Israelis during a rave party, but also of defenseless elderly people, women and children who were in their homes in the kibbutzim near Gaza". «Instead of - continues the Northern League exponent - expressing indignation and condemnation towards Hamas for the very serious criminal acts perpetrated against the Israeli people or for the kidnapping of hundreds of Israeli civilians, including children, Patrick Zaki instead defined him as a "serial killer" Prime Minister Netanyahu."

Positions defined as "unacceptable", to the point that in the following days "there were many public meetings to which Zaki had been invited but which were canceled by the organizers themselves".
