A five-year-old girl, born in Terni to parents of foreign origins, fell, apparently accidentally, from the window of a house on the fourth floor of a building in Terni, and was seriously injured.

The girl was rescued by 118 operators and was transported in red code to the Santa Maria hospital.

It happened on Monday evening, in viale Filippo Turati. The investigation into the incident is being conducted by the state police. According to an initial reconstruction, the mother of the child had gone to work and had entrusted her to another woman. The prevailing hypothesis, as mentioned, is that the fact is accidental: the little girl, in the bathroom, would have stood up on the toilet which is located next to the window from which she then fell. The impact with the ground would have been cushioned by wires used on the lower floors to hang clothes.

Doctors are trying to save her life. The incident, which involves the agents of Volante, Mobile and the Scientific Police, is under the attention of the judicial authority.
