A 24-year-old woman was admitted to the San Gerardo hospital in Monza in serious condition after being stabbed at least once in the back.

It happened outside a supermarket on Via Prealpi in Giussano (Monza), around 1.30pm today.

The Carabinieri are investigating: the one who hit her was a young man of foreign origins, an ex of the victim. The man was tracked down and stopped in Stradella (Pavia): he was under house arrest for a proceeding underway in Como for throwing acid at the same 24-year-old.

According to what has been learned, he took advantage of an exit permit, but violated the provision that requires him not to leave the places established by the judge.
