The 46-year-old unemployed man who yesterday in the Carrefour shopping center in Assago , near Milan, grabbed a knife from the shelves, is accused of murder and attempted multiple murder , and then killed a 47-year-old cashier of Bolivian origin and injured four other people , including the Spanish defender of Monza Pablo Marì , who at that moment was shopping in the store with his wife and children.

From what we learn, the man, arrested by the police, allegedly suffered from mental problems and had recently undergone compulsory medical treatment.

To stop him, allowing him to be arrested, was the former Inter and Bologna player Massimo Tarantino , present at the time of the events in the supermarket. "He was screaming, he was just screaming," Tarantino told the carabinieri who took over the 46-year-old.

As for Pablo Marì, rushed to hospital, where he received a visit to the Monza CEO Adriano Galliani , in the attack he remedied a back injury , which did not touch any vital points. The player was subjected to an operation, for him a couple of months off.

In serious condition, but out of danger, other people were injured.
