Important elements emerge during the investigations by the Carabinieri of Sesto San Giovanni (Milan) into the murder of Sofia Castelli , the 20-year-old stabbed to death by her ex-boyfriend, Zakaria Atqaoui, who confessed to her crimes.

According to what the 23-year-old said, he reached the girl by breaking into her home and then assaulting her to death. The friend who had stopped to sleep in Sofia's apartment probably didn't notice anything until the military arrived this morning.

Atquaoui therefore did not spend the evening with his ex-girlfriend in the disco, as emerged from the first information. Now he has been formally arrested for voluntary homicide, in execution of arrest for a suspected crime issued by the Monza prosecutor's office.

In-depth investigations are underway to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the events that occurred after the victim's return home as well as to verify what he confessed during the interrogation before the Public Prosecutor's Office of Monza.

Sofia, as it turns out, was about to leave for Sardinia to join her parents who were on the island to celebrate a family anniversary.
