An arrested nun , the mother superior and two others subjected to a residence ban in Campania : this is the balance of an investigation by the Carabinieri and the "weak groups" section of the Naples prosecutor's office which resulted in an order which was enforced yesterday evening the soldiers of the Ischia company.

Theater of the story: the Santa Maria della Provvidenza religious institute , in Casamicciola Terme, which houses minors awaiting foster care, adoption, minor guests outside the structure or in foster care following judicial measures.

In July of this year the carabinieri of Ischia received a report accompanied by a video  filmed by a minor guest of the structure – in which we see the nun slapping and forcefully pulling the hair of a desperate 4-year-old boy several times , in the presence of other children who invite her to stop. As can be seen in the images, the nun also slaps her 8-year-old brother who intervened to defend him, causing him to bleed from his nose.

The military investigations went on for four months and thanks to the testimonies of the children they managed to identify the mother superior and the three sisters in service as the perpetrators of the crimes. From the testimonies collected, further episodes of violence against minors emerged: hair pulling, slapping on the back of the head, kicks, slippers on the hands. The nuns then imposed silence on the violence, depriving the children of cell phones to prevent photo and video shooting.

With these elements, the precautionary custody order in prison was triggered against Marie Georgette Rahasimalala, 55 years old born in Madagascar , who was in charge of the canteen service. The stay bans instead concern the mother superior Angela De Bonis, 81 years old, Noeline Razanadraozy, 51 years old, also from Madagascar and also in charge of the canteen, and Alice Albaracin, almost 48 years old, born in the Philippines, sister in charge of the after-school service.
