"When I met that man in the dark, I thought about robbing him ." This is the summary of a passage from the interrogation given today to the investigating judge Domenico Santoro by Daniele Rezza , the 19-year-old who confessed to killing Manuel Mastrapasqua with a knife in Rozzano. His words are in addition to the statements made last Saturday immediately after the interrogation in which he admitted the facts, in front of his defense, the lawyer Maurizio Ferrari who today renounced the mandate. " I ruined two families ," he admitted. It is still unclear what drove him to attack the 31-year-old with a knife. The weapon itself has not yet been found. It appears to be a large kitchen knife.

The young man, interviewed by investigators, said he got rid of it in a park, shortly after what happened in Viale Romagna in front of a tram stop. The Carabinieri investigators have reconstructed his route thanks to telephone records and cameras, from when he stabbed Manuel in the chest until he fled. After leaving the scene of the attack, he allegedly slipped into the courtyards of the public housing complex located not far from the site of the murder. There, in a construction site, he allegedly threw the blade.

Despite the searches, however, the object has not yet been found. So the 19-year-old's version is being examined to understand whether the young man told the truth or is trying to cover for someone who may have helped him.
