2022 saw an increase in traffic accidents compared to 2021.

The numbers provided by the Traffic Police report a + 7.1% for overall accidents (70,554 accidents against 65,852 in 2021), +7.8 for fatalities (1346) and +11.1 for victims (1489). And again, +8.4% for accidents with injuries and the number of injured increased by 10.6% (42,300).

However, the data , when compared with those preceding the pandemic , is decreasing . Compared to 2019 , there was -8.3% for fatalities and victims, -9.2% for accidents with injuries. The number of injured people closes with -13.2%.
