He admitted having had a romantic relationship with an underage student .

But, the teacher justified, the girl would have turned eighteen during the school year, the young woman's mother knew and was consenting, and he and the pupil lived their "love" outside school.

Words that however were not enough in any degree of judgment: even the Supreme Court has decided the dismissal from the service but with a not just addition. The professor will not have any future access to the world of school , in any position, or to any other form of public employment. In short, banned from every institution.

The facts date back to the period from October 2016 to March 2017 in a high school on the eastern outskirts of Milan. Since the girl was 17 years old and no less than 16 (in that case the relationship would have been configured as a real crime and the teacher would have been denounced) the Ministry of Education in May 2018 had decided on the maximum administrative sanction: precisely the dismissal.

It was the professor who brought the matter to court, as reported by Corriere, appealing against the decision and trying to soften the sentence.

He did not succeed: according to the judges "the negative value of the conduct emerged in all its gravity considering, on the one hand, the role of responsibility and the educational function assigned to the teacher and, on the other, the fact that the students entrusted to him they were going through an objectively critical age from the point of view of personality development and the ways of social interaction ".

In short, " a serious violation of the duties inherent in the educational function".
