Six people arrested as part of an investigation into alleged rape drug trafficking.

From the first light of dawn, the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Rome are executing a precautionary custody order issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Rome, at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office, against six people (four men and two women) of Italian, Chinese and Bengali nationality: they must answer for the crime of trafficking and detention for the purpose of drug trafficking.

According to the accusations, they trafficked synthetic drugs, such as Shaboo and Yaba, powerful methamphetamines, but also cocaine and GHB, known as "rape drug", due to the effects it has on inhibitory brakes.

The synthetic drugs, according to the reconstruction of the investigators, were supplied by a Chinese wholesaler, based in Tuscany, which organized the transport and delivery of the necessary narcotic to Rome. The drug arrived in the capital via Chinese couriers, who alternately used railway vehicles or rental cars, well dressed so as not to arouse suspicion. Having reached the Roman drug dealers, the substance was delivered to various customers, even at home, using electric scooters. Among the most frequent hires there were professionals, including from the university world, but also dancers, doctors and sportsmen.
