The Carabinieri of Caldaro, in the province of Bolzano, have reported a 45-year-old Sardinian man for an online scam against a fifty-year-old resident of Lana.

The victim wanted to buy spare parts for his vintage car: attracted by the particularly convenient price found on a website, he contacted the seller. And the advertiser, after a brief negotiation, even offered to give the goods away, asking only for shipping costs to be credited.

The would-be buyer therefore paid him 110 euros but, after days of waiting, he realized that nothing was arriving and reported everything to the police. Who tracked down the advertiser and managed, also with the collaboration of Iglesias' colleagues, to identify the 45-year-old Sardinian, who had secretly used his father's card and mobile phone and, under a false name, had inserted the fake advert .

The man was reported to the Bolzano public prosecutor's office for impersonation, improper use of a credit card and fraud.
