New loosening of anti-Covid restrictions are triggered.

From tomorrow super Green Pass with unlimited duration, new system for quarantines (halved to five days for the unvaccinated) and for Dads, with vaccinated students who will no longer go to distance learning, said Health Minister Roberto Speranza .

Starting next Friday, the obligation of outdoor masks in the white area will disappear. From 10 February the discos will be able to reopen with a reinforced certificate, masks (but not on the track) and a capacity of 50 percent.

"A new phase is opening up for the country", says the coordinator of the CTS Franco Locatelli, who however warns: "The reopening must be managed", with "adequate progressiveness".

THE STATE OF EMERGENCY - The state of emergency will expire on March 31st: if it is not extended, the agreements on smartworking will be re-discussed with the companies and also the structure of the current Commissioner, General Francesco Figliuolo, would become "ordinary" (alternatively, an ad hoc decree would be needed, for the assignment of extraordinary powers).

Meanwhile, it is certain that the green certificate will still have to be used for several months, even after March. For Walter Ricciardi, consultant to the Minister of Health, it will have to be maintained at least for the whole summer.

OVER 50 - Another stop will be on February 15th, when the Super pass at work will be compulsory for over-fifties.

On this front, the machine of controls has already been set in motion since last February 1st and in the coming weeks the sanctions of 100 euros could arrive after sample checks on the million and a half of over-fifties in Italy who have never been vaccinated or who have not they still had the booster dose within the six-month booster deadline. The law requires the fine to arrive directly at the house with a file from the Revenue Agency.

VACCINES - In the meantime, the arrival of “Novavax” is expected at the end of February, the so-called vaccine which, based on old techniques, different from the vector and mRna-based ones used up to now for anti-Covid serums, could convince the “skeptics”.

For those who have instead made the booster, at the moment there is no fourth dose, except perhaps for immunosuppressed and elderly people: in this case the administration system, with decidedly reduced numbers compared to the last vaccination campaign, will however be more widespread with pharmacies, general practitioners and pediatricians. Therefore we would move towards the closure of the hubs and the large vaccination centers. For vaccines for children under five, instead, the evaluation of Ema and Aifa is expected, with a possible ok in the coming months.
