The case of the Chanel perfume stolen by Piero Fassino from the Fiumicino duty free shop has been closed with the payment of 500 euros .
The case was closed due to a "remedial conduct" and in consideration of the particular "minority of the act" committed by the Honourable, who also has a clean criminal record.
Fassino immediately replied about the facts, which occurred on April 15 in the shop at the Roman airport, that it was a misunderstanding and that the bottle of perfume, worth about 100 euros, had slipped into his jacket pocket by mistake, as he was holding the trolley with one hand and the cell phone with the other. Statements that were however denied by cameras and staff , who had reported two alleged theft attempts, always of perfume, in similar circumstances.
The investigating judge of Civitavecchia has now accepted the request of Fassino's defense, thus avoiding the parliamentarian's trial.
