Overwhelmed by a car while riding a scooter, a 15-year-old died
He is the 27th victim in Italy aboard the electric micromobility vehicle
A 15-year-old boy died after his scooter collided with a car .
The accident took place during the night in Oppeano, in the Veronese area : the victim (he would have turned 16 in four days) was instead from Zevio, a neighboring town.
The young man was traveling on a scooter on the road from Valais to Oppeano when he was hit by a car traveling in the same direction . On the spot carabinieri and 118, unfortunately the rescue was useless.
The dynamics of the crash and possible responsibilities are yet to be ascertained.
According to the Scooter Observatory of Asaps, the Association of Friends of the Road Police Supporters, the number of deaths on electric micromobility vehicles is growing in Italy: it is the 27th victim on board scooters . One in 2020, 12 in 2021, 12 in 2022 and 2 in 2023.
