A woman was run over and killed as she was crossing the road , the hunt for the investor who fled.

The tragedy occurred in Marzocca di Senigallia , in the Ancona area, in pouring rain.

It is not yet clear whether the victim was walking her dog or if she was run over while trying to rescue him. The animal was found with a walking stick on the spot, while the woman's body was dragged for 8 kilometers and was found in via Podesti, in the town of Senigallia.

The woman who lost her life is Sigrid Tschope, an 81-year-old of German origin residing in Marzocca. Traffic police, carabinieri, firefighters and 118 vehicles intervened on the spot.

Initially it was thought that a vehicle had hit the dog and the woman, dragging the old woman for miles. But the driver of a van had reported the presence of a dead dog near the Marzocca station, along Statale 16: perhaps he had already been run over and was unable to dodge it, so he called the police and remained waiting for them on site.

So the hypothesis that has taken off is that the woman stopped to rescue the animal, in the dark and in the pouring rain, and was run over . Fundamental to finding the pirate vehicle are the images of the video surveillance systems along the approximately 8 km journey.

The body of the old woman was reported by a passing motorist who raised the alarm.
